What you can expect

  • A great internship starting from February 2026, where you’ll truly be part of our marketing team. Here is what you can expect:

  • Brainstorming and creating content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

  • Creating and publishing content for our websites and internal communication channels, and adapting this content for our social media channels.

  • Filming, editing, and posting catchy TikToks and Reels

  • Designing flyers, banners, and other promotional materials

  • Contributing ideas for campaigns and their visual execution

  • Supporting events: from preparation to execution (such as driver days, ROC open days, and customer events). Naturally, you’ll also create great content for these

  • Working on creative projects for various companies within the group — variety guaranteed!

  • An educational, versatile internship in a close-knit and fun team

  • Your base will be Culemborg, where our marketing team is currently located. You will also regularly work at our other locations in the Central Netherlands. The marketing team is expected to move to our new headquarters in Nieuwegein in Q2

  • Naturally, you will receive an appropriate internship allowance

What we’re looking for

  • You are following a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, media, or design

  • You have an eye for style and design

  • You have (some) experience with Adobe CC and/or Canva

  • You are creative, proactive, and like to contribute ideas

  • You know what works on TikTok and other social media channels and follow trends

  • You are flexible and can easily switch between assignments and companies

  • You don’t mind being present at an event on a Saturday or in the evening to help out and create content

We work closely with colleagues from different locations and disciplines, making every day different and constantly challenging us to get the best out of our communications.

What your day looks like

  • 08:30

    Start your day with a cup of coffee (or tea!) and open your schedule on Trello. Today you'll be working on social media posts, banners for an event, and a brainstorm for a new campaign. You start with a post for Instagram, as another beautiful Volvo Truck has been delivered. You write a great caption and schedule the post via Meta Business.

  • 10:00

    One of your colleagues grabs some coffee and you proudly show her a design you're working on. You get some good feedback to make the design align even better with the brand identity. You're on the right track—nice confirmation!

  • 10:15

    In the InDesign layout, you adjust the points you just received feedback on. This makes the visual just a bit more powerful and striking.

  • 12:15

    Time for lunch! You join everyone in the canteen and hear stories from your colleagues.

  • 13:00

    You contribute ideas for a campaign for Van Dijk Trucks. Which style fits best? You come up with ideas and a TikTok concept.

  • 15:00

    You work on a set of banners for an upcoming event and make sure everything is correct: colors, logos, dimensions, and of course, the message.

  • 16:30

    You upload your files to the shared folder, share your progress with your internship supervisor, and wrap up your day.

  • 17:00

    You look back on a productive day full of creativity and variety. New ideas and designs tomorrow – let’s go!
