What we’re looking for

  • Diploma Level 1 or 2 Automotive Technician

  • Experience with repair and maintenance of light commercial vehicles

What your day looks like

  • 07:45

    Grab a cup of coffee and chat with colleagues, then get to work! The workshop manager tells you what your first job of the day will be.

  • 08:00

    A service needs to be carried out on a Renault Master. It is important that everything works perfectly for the customer. It is a young commercial vehicle, so the van is ready to be picked up by the customer before the break.

  • 09:30

    Coffee break! Colleagues are in the canteen talking about last night's football match.

  • 09:45

    A customer calls with a breakdown on the road; you jump into the service van for roadside assistance on location. The job isn't too bad and the driver is back on their way quickly.

  • 12:15

    During the friendly lunch, the conversation turns to the next staff party. Most colleagues have been working here for years and they have the best stories about parties from the past. You're very curious!

  • 13:00

    After lunch, a Renault Trafic with damage drives in. The damage has been recorded by your colleague; you perform an emergency repair so the customer can drive safely again while waiting for the approval of the bodywork repair.

  • 15:00

    Time for a short break, with a cup of coffee and a talk about the Van Dijk Vitality Program—you still want to sign up for that. Don't forget!

  • 15:15

    The last job of the day: you shadow a colleague who is going to perform an MOT inspection on a truck; you would like to obtain your MOT 1 license, and you learn best in practice!

  • 17:15

    The workday is over! You tidy up your workspace; tomorrow is another day!
